  About the Plugin
  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 Tired of being forced to make agonizing decisions about which of your dozens of spells and items deserves a slot in Oblivion's paltry set of eight hotkeys? Expanded Hotkeys gives you access to two alternate sets of hotkeys. These use the same buttons as the default hotkeys (1 through 8), but are accessed by holding down another key while pressing the hotkey. In addition, the #9 and #0 keys function as "item set" keys, which allow you to record all of the items you have equipped and then re-equip them at any time with a single keystroke. Finally, you can now delete any spell from your spellbook by pressing shift-delete. All told, you now have access to a total of 28 hotkeys, including the eight defaults.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
  IMPORTANT!
  ~~~~~~~~~~~~
 This plugin REQUIRES the latest patch for Oblivion.exe. If you do not have this patch, it can be downloaded from the Official Elder Scrolls website at www.elderscrolls.com.
 This plugin REQUIRES Oblivion Script Extender (OBSE) v0004 or later. OBSE is an application that extends the available scripting functions in Oblivion. Because OBSE continues to be developed and improved, it is not included with this plugin. It can be downloaded at either of the following locations:
http://www.pseudoworld.co.uk/Oblivion/obse_0004.zip
http://ianpatt.hp.infoseek.co.jp/oblivion/obse/obse_0004.zip
 Please follow the instructions in OBSE's readme for installing and running the app. It is not at all complicated, I promise.
  How to use it
  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

 Although this plugin uses the same buttons as the default hotkeys, using the alternate sets works slightly differently. The controls are as follows:

-Shift + hotkey accesses the first alternate item assigned to that key
-Alt + hotkey accesses the second alternate item.
-F8 followed by one of the above allows you to bind an item to the hotkey. Press twice to enter the configuration menu.
-Shift + delete deletes the currently selected spell from your spellbook.

These controls can be customized by using the configuration menu.

Binding an item to a hotkey:
____________________________

 Items are anything that can appear in your inventory, like potions, weapons, armor, even non-equippables like books and misc items. Items do not include magic scrolls.

 While in the game screen, press F8, then hold down shift or alt while pressing the desired hotkey. A container interface pops up. Click the bag icon at the bottom to view your inventory, then select one item (left-click) and close the interface. The item is now bound to the hotkey.

 If you change your mind after pressing F8, press it again and select "Cancel". If you change your mind after entering the interface, remove any items from the container and close the menu. If an item was previously assigned to the hotkey, it will be retained.

 When assigning arrows, potions, or other stackable items to a hotkey, it doesn't matter how many you select. For arrows, when you access the hotkey all arrows of that type will be equipped. For other item types, only one will be equipped. If you select more than one type of item to assign, only the first item chosen will be assigned to the hotkey.

Binding a spell to a hotkey:
____________________________

 A spell is any spell that can be cast with the cast key. It does not apply to permanent effects like diseases/abilities or to magic scrolls.

 Go to your spell menu, select (left-click) a spell, then hold down either shift or alt while pressing the desired hotkey. The spell is now bound to that hotkey. Note that it IS possible to delete racial powers this way. I doubt you really want to do that.

_______________________________________________
Binding a set of items to the item set hotkeys:
_______________________________________________

The 0 and 9 keys can be assigned to an entire set of equipped items. This is great for equipping an entire suit of armor or your favorite outfit at the press of a button.

 While in the game screen, press F8, then hold either shift or alt while pressing 0 or 9. All items currently equipped on your character will be recorded, and pressing that hotkey in the future will re-equip them on your character.

____________________________
Accessing alternate hotkeys:
____________________________

Pressing a hotkey combo while in the game equips the associated item or readies the associated spell.

 While in the game screen, hold shift or alt while pressing the desired hotkey. The spell or item assigned to that key will be equipped on your player.

_________________
Deleting a spell:
_________________

Enter your spellbook menu and select (left-click) the spell you wish to delete. Then hold shift while pressing delete. The spell is now deleted, but your spell list will not be updated until you select a different spell or exit the spell menu.

_________________________
Customizing the Controls:
_________________________

While in the game screen, press F8 twice. This brings up a menu from which you can customize the keys used to access the alternate sets of hotkeys. The defaults are Shift and Alt, but you may select from several other options to fit your keyboard layout.

  Known Issues
  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am not aware of any "bugs", but there are a few things that should be pointed out here:
-There's no way for me to display what items are assigned to a hotkey, so it's up to you to remember. Or just press the key for a reminder.
-Oblivion automatically generates messages in the top corner of the screen when items are added or removed from the player's inventory or equipped. This happens even with the normal hotkeys, and there is no way to turn them off. I've included a small esp that makes the "equipped" message briefer, if you wish to use it.
-If you assign arrows to a hotkey, all arrows of that type will be equipped when you access the hotkey. But your quiver will appear to contain only one arrow. This should only be a concern if you play in third person and are obsessed with your character's appearance.
-Currently there's no way to assign magic scrolls to alternate hotkeys. There may not be a way to fix this.
